Classwork:
Language Arts: Today in class we read pages 136-144 (The Boiler Room). We created a list of items in the boiler room from the story and tomorrow we will visit the Hunt Boiler Room to compare it with Doug Wilhelm's version of a boiler room. This is a great example of setting and will help us with writing compare/ contrast paragraphs.
Science: We looked a diagrams and related the information in the diagrams to the facts we have learned about the various organs in the digestive system.
Social Studies: We got our text books for Latin America and are reading about the rich culture of Mexico.
Math: We took a fraction inventory quiz to determine where students are with their knowledge of fractions. We also got our new books today Bits and Pieces I. Basketball Fraction Tiles
